Compressed Air
Unused solar energy can be stored and there are a number of ways of doing this. Compressed Air is one of these methods.
Electricity not immediately required is fed into a compressor. Air is then compressed into cyclinders. At night, the compressed air is released and the resulting flow powers a wind turbine which can either use air on its own, or a mixture of air and gas, acting as an accelerant to power the turbine, creating electricity for lights, computers and other household appliance during the night hours.
It is the cleanest system available as it uses the sun's energy, compresses the air we breathe and releases that air with little to no contaminents.
As generating capacity in the UK and many other countries is stretched to the limit with few alternative power sources, Planet Matters has taken this latest initiative to provide uninterrupted power for the home, the school and the hospital.
